WHO WE ARE
Blackline Joinery is a custom joinery business based at 64 Bayldon Road, Queanbeyan West NSW 2620. We design, build and install custom kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and home renovations across the Canberra and Queanbeyan region. The business is owned and run by Christian and Andrew.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (for example, health, racial, religious, or political information). If we ever needed to, we would ask for your consent first.
HOW WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION
We collect information directly from you in almost every case. That happens when you:
- Submit a form on our website
- Email us, call us, or text us
- Meet with us in person at your home or at our Queanbeyan showroom
- Send us files, plans, or photos by email, message, or upload

Occasionally we may receive information about you from a third party, for example a builder, architect, or designer who's coordinating a project with us on your behalf. When that happens, we only use the information for the purposes of that project.

We collect personal information for the following reasons:

- To prepare designs, drawings, and quotes for your project
- To schedule measures, consultations, and installations
- To coordinate with builders, suppliers, plumbers, electricians, tilers and other trades involved in your project
- To invoice you and process payment
- To keep records of completed work for warranty and after-sales support
- To send you project updates, reminders, or follow-up communications
- To improve our website and the way we run our business
- To meet our legal, tax, and insurance obligations

WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
We don't sell your personal information. Ever.
We do share it in limited circumstances, only with people and businesses we need to work with to deliver your project or run our business. These include:
- Trades and suppliers we work with on your project. Plumbers, electricians, tilers, builders, stone suppliers, hardware suppliers, and similar. We only share what's needed to get the job done.
- Our accountant and bookkeeper, for invoicing and tax purposes.
- Otto Media, our marketing partner, who helps us manage our website and content. They may have access to enquiry data so we can follow up with you, but they don't use it for any other purpose.
- Duda, the platform that hosts our website. They process some technical data automatically.
- Google, through analytics and similar tools used on our website.
- Government bodies, regulators, or law enforcement, where we're legally required to disclose information.
We require everyone we share information with to handle it responsibly and in line with applicable Australian privacy laws.
We do not transfer your personal information overseas, except where one of our service providers (such as Duda or Google) stores it on servers located outside Australia. In those cases, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS
Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technology to help us understand how people use the site and to make it work properly.

HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
Personal information is stored in our business systems, which include:
- Our email accounts and shared drives
- Our customer enquiry system (managed through our website platform)
- Our project management and quoting software
- Physical files where required (drawings, signed quotes, contracts)
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include:
- Password-protected accounts and devices
- Restricted access to project files
- Secure storage of any physical paperwork
- Working only with reputable, established service providers
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it. Typically, we keep project records for a minimum of seven years to meet tax, warranty and insurance obligations. After that, we securely delete or de-identify the information.
DIRECT MARKETING
From time to time, we may contact you with information about our work, project updates, or services we offer. This is usually limited to people who have enquired with us or worked with us before.
Every marketing email we send will include an option to unsubscribe. You can also opt out at any time by emailing info@blacklinejoinery.com.au with the subject line Unsubscribe.
We do not send unsolicited marketing to people we have no existing relationship with.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we find out we have collected information from a child without parental consent, we'll delete it.
